What you have to know before buying CopperMask

You’ve probably seen the CopperMask spreading across social media platforms with its stylish and fashionable design on top of the claim that it helps kill 99.9% of germs.
But before you shell out 380 Philippine pesos for these cool and trendy copper face mask, here are some of the things you have to consider:
1. Although it says that CopperMask is reusable and washable, please take note that it does have a predetermined lifespan. Each box of CopperMask comes with one piece of a thin outer copper layer and ten pieces of inner filter. These non-woven fabric inner filters can be washed up to 2 times. Thus, if you do the math, using CopperMask everyday will last you 30 days. That’s an expense of about 12.6 Philippine pesos per day.
2. Helps prevent dermatitis and allergies. As opposed to surgical face masks, CopperMask has considerably less chance of triggering facial dermatitis, especially on the cheek and chin area because it is designed in such a way that minimizes contact to those parts. However, when the weather is hot or you are engaging in a physical activity, there’s still a tendency that the area covered by the mask will sweat.
3. CopperMask is not bulky. You have probably seen on pictures online how CopperMask takes up most of the area below the eyes, but don’t worry it’s not as thick as it may seem on images. In fact, the copper film is so thin it is almost transparent while the inner fabric layer is at a comfortable thickness. These two layers are held together by string on either side which forms a loop to fit on the ear.
4. There’s a hole on the chin part of the CopperMask which I did find kind of surprising. However, it does allow ease of respiration and avoids foggy eyeglasses. Anyways, unlike surgical face masks, it does offer more fit on the cheek area.
5. Each box of CopperMask is plastic sealed with a vacuum sealed inner plastic that contains the following:
- 1 pcs. Copper film
- 10 pcs. Non-woven fabric filter
- 2 pcs. Elastic bands
- 6 pcs sticker bearing the brand CopperMask
