So, I tried these insect repellent by the brand Messy Bessy.
It says on the label that this insect repellent gives you protection for up to 6 hours.
It's 100% natural!
Just take a look at it's ingredients: purified Water, Fruit Extract Distillate, Eucalyptus Citriadora, Essential Oils (Eucalyptus and Green Tea).
Yup, that's all!
As you can see, there's no preservative nor any harmful chemical added to this formula.
If you like an all-natural insect repellent, then Messy Bessy is a great brand to try.
Since they're using natural ingredient, it is generally safe and non-toxic to the skin, which is good for young children and folks with sensitive skin.
Insect repellent performance
Let's put Messy Bessy's insect repellent formula to the test.
Yes, I feel it somehow reduces the number of mosquito bites. The downside is it doesn't totally stop mosquitoes from attacking you.
This doesn't really surprise me because I've already done some research about natural home remedies to repel insects. In which I've found out that herbs does reduce the number of mosquitoes around but it doesn't eliminate them all.
What can I say, a hungry mosquito will go for it -- your blood!
You'll be disappointed if you assume that this insect repellent product by Messy Bessy will give you a 100% protection against mosquitoes. Anyways, I'm yet to test out an all-natural product that can chase away all the mosquitoes.
The smell
It has a strong plant like scent, but after several minutes from application, the scent starts to fade off.
Not sticky
Bessy Messy's insect repellent is of liquid consistency so it comes in a transparent plastic spray bottle. When you spray it over the area you want to protect against mosquito bites, it doesn't feel sticky. Your skin easily absorbs it.
Sizes
Messy Bessy's insect repellent comes in in a 50ml and a 250ml plastic bottle.
If you'd like to just give this product a try, then I suggest you buy the smallest size available in the market.
However, if you find the insect repellent by Messy Bessy to be perfect for you, then you may want to buy the larger bottle since this will save you money.
Anyways, if the 250ml bottle is too large to be portable, you can use small container you can refill with when you travel.
