Let's review this skincare product by Watsons which is the Deep Moisturizing Lotion Cocoa Butter. Well, it sounds to me like chocolate, isn't it. So, I did scheme the list of ingredients and found Theobroma cacao seed (cocoa) butter in there. If you ask me, I think that if a lotion is infused with chocolate, then, it's absolutely enticing. It's like treating your skin to a topical chocolate.

But, don't worry, this lotion is relatively cheap. You get a 532 ml for just 149 Philippine pesos. Now, that's a knock off price compared to most other lotion brands out there.


Cocoa Butter Body Lotion

The lotion itself has a distinct smell which probably comes from cocoa which isn't floral nor foul. Furthermore, it contains Vitamin E, an antioxidant which maintains the integrity of the skin and exerts anti-aging effects.

The cocoa lotion is white in color and has a thick soft buttery consistency that melts perfectly on the skin. Seriously, I don't know if it's just the hot weather, but when I pour this Cocoa butter lotion on my palm and tilt it, it actually glides like a slime. Like butter! No worries, it's not greasy and actually blends perfectly, leaving the skin soft and smooth.

On the label, it says that it's deep moisturizing. I'd say that it's really good at hydrating the skin, especially at such an affordable price.


The packaging

This product comes in a 532 ml plastic bottle. It has a large lid which is wonderful as it can be used as a stand to place the bottle in an upright position.


"Shake well before each use."

I've just read the instructions located at the back side of the bottle and it says there that one is supposed to shake the bottle well prior to use. Now, that's something that I don't really do before using a lotion, but for this one, you should according to the instructions. By the way, I did try shaking it before use, however, it didn't make any difference whatsoever to the consistency of the lotion. Although, it's true purpose may be to help evenly distribute the ingredients.

By the way, let me just mention that this is not sponsored. I purchased this lotion with my own money. And at first, I was skeptical in purchasing this product because it's quite cheaper. You know, there are some cheap skincare finds whose quality is poor. Although at the same time, I was really compelled to buy it because it comes at such a large amount in addition to it's cocoa flavor and nice packaging but I guess you shouldn't really be judging the quality of a product based on it's price tag alone. With that said, this item is definitely a product I recommend you try.

In conclusion, for it's price, volume, and cocoa twist, I say this Deep Moisturizing Body Lotion Cocoa Butter by Watsons is such an awesome skincare find!
