How to use Castor Oil to treat Dry eyes?

First of all, does castor oil eye drops truly relieve dry eyes? Well, based on my years of using this type of oil for my dry eyes, the answer is a resounding YES!

I remember back in the days when I still use tons of medical grade eye drops to relieve my dry eyes in which I was only getting temporary relief at such a relatively higher price. (I know many will relate to this experience.) So, seeing that I don't have much good results from  using those eye drops which I have to keep refilling every time they run out, I did a little research online and found out that a good number of people are turning to oils as an inexpensive and effective home remedy to relieve dry eyes.

I originally am using coconut oil for my dry eyes which I've had good results with but it has such a strong aroma so I switched to castor oil.

What I did was I purchase a large castor oil bottle and a refillable eye drop bottle. Then, I just refilled the eye drop bottle with castor oil and use it like a regular eye drop which is so easy and convenient.

To get relief from dry eyes, I use castor oil before bedtime so that way my eyes don't dry out when I'm sleeping and since it's able to retain moisture, it heals instead. Yes having castor oil on the eyes does blur vision which last for a few minutes.

At times when I'm on screen more than I should which consequently makes my eyes tired and dry, then  I use castor oil drops to get relief, however since my eyes already feel sandy, then putting on castor oil at time makes it sting but it only lasts a short while. Furthermore, there's definitely temporary blurring of vision caused by oil getting into the field of vision so it causes this momentary uneasy feeling, but that's okay because it definitely makes my eyes better afterwards.

Of course, I avoid using castor oil on my eyes whenever I'm outside, especially when I'm walking or biking because first, I have to be able to see, and second, I'm afraid dust particles will get attached to the sticky castor oil that was on my eyes.
