Do I need OHNAP BOSH training to practice as a company nurse in the Philippines?

Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) is a five-day (40 hours) training course conducted by the (OHNAP) Occupational Health Nurses Association of the Philippines. BOSH is a training required of company nurses (also known as occupational health nurses).
Whether or not you are required to undergo this certification before starting your first day of work as a company nurse depends on your agency/company. As a matter of fact, most agencies in the Philippines offer a company nurse position even to those who still haven't had their BOSH training and instead offer them the chance to undergo this training while they are employed.
Take note that there are agencies offering to shoulder the cost of BOSH training but require nurses to stay for a minimum fixed amount of years in their firm.
On the other hand, there are also businesses who only accept applicants who already possess Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) certification.
With that in mind, it's best to first ask the firm you are applying to whether or not this said training is a prerequisite to being accepted.
