I first came across Jergens lotion several years ago when I had my trip to the dermatologist. The beautiful doctor told me that I have excessively dry skin and recommended that I start using Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion.

My verdict:
Thick, creamy, white in color, devoid of scent, and dermatologist tested, in my opinion, Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion works wonderfully to hydrate excessively dry skin.
Of course, it is important to maintain your skin's hydration otherwise it will turn flaky and dull. In the long run, a well moisturized skin becomes soft and luminous.
On the other hand, I'm aware there are people who don't like to use this lotion because it feels greasy on the skin especially during the summer days so they only use this product during the winter season.
On the contrary, I find this lotion to be not overly thick nor sticky. In fact you can spread it across the skin surface with relative ease and it absorbs well, without that greasy sensation.

What makes Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion awesome?
It contains Vitamins C and E which most people recognize as antioxidants which helps repair and renew skin cells. Meanwhile, it's Vitamin B5 (also known as pantothenic acid) hydrates and speeds up healing.
Furthermore, this skincare product contains illuminating HYDRALUCENCE blend. What is hydralucence? It's a combination of ingredients that Jergens has trademarked, which means the intellectual property of using it belongs to them.
So, I can only presume that it's their secret recipe, but considering that there's the ingredients list, it might be the formulation that's the key to their success.

Jergens lotion has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date.

Can Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion be used on the face?
Unfortunately, since Jergens lotion was not tested on the face, there's no guarantee that it can indeed be used on the face by consumers. Instead, there's a Jergens All-purpose Face Cream available in the market specifically for this purpose.
However, I do know that there are people who claim by word of mouth that they are using this lotion on their face and that it doesn't clog their pores. Although, of course, if you're a responsible consumer, you may want to take into consideration that there are risks when you use this on your face and you will be the one to do your own skin testing.
