Roses are edible! These glamorous petals have been cooked since ancient times to add flavor, beauty, nutrients, and aroma to dishes. Did you know that roses belong to the same family as apples, berries, pears, and plums?

Rose petals has a wide range of recipe applications for deserts, salad, beverages, and savory dishes. It's leaves can be brewed into a tea. Rose hip or rose fruit is also utilized in culinary. Depending on the type of rose used, flavor varies. It's flavor can be sweet, fruity, spicy, or bitter.

If you're aiming for a stronger flavor, use darker shades of roses. If you don't like bitter taste, then remove the white portion of the rose petal found at the base of the flower.

People drink rose water for it's many health benefits like anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial property.
