        Banana is an excellent source of potassium while very low in sodium. Foods high in potassium has been shown to benefit cardiovascular health since it lowers blood pressure and aids in the removal of excess sodium from the body. Too much sodium can pull water into the circulation thus further increasing blood pressure so it's crucial to take this mineral in moderation.
