Black henna tattoo is a form of temporary tattoo that's making headlines because of the notorious marks it leaves it victims --  scars, blisters, rashes, pain, and cosmetic deformity.

It has a bad reputation for the disastrous allergic reaction it can cause, from which, many people have already suffered. The catch is, you wouldn't know whether or not you are allergic to black henna unless you tried it.

Let me tell you, a lot of people are allergic to black henna tattoo.

Why am I allergic to black henna tattoo

Traditional henna tattoo is generally considered safe. It's usually orange, brownish to redish in color. In fact, it is traditionally used in India during special occasions.

The danger with black henna tattoo lies in it's black color. Toxic chemicals and potential irritants are added to henna to turn it into a black ink.

One such harmful component of black henna is paraphenylenediamine, a chemical colorant that's usually used in hair dyes,

The inclusion of paraphenylenediamine in hair dye is also the same reason why some people find that they are allergic to certain hair dyes.

So, the next time there's a little pop up tattoo booth on the beach offering temporary black tattoos with amazing designs, you may want to be cautious.
